About

The Nanny State Liberation Front (NSLF) is leading the charge against big government bureaucrats constantly attempting to legislate and dictate how citizens live their own lives.

Whether it’s banning Happy Meals, taxing soft drinks, telling us we’re too fat, forcing health care on a majority adamantly opposed to it, and just plain slapping the Founding Fathers in the face by limiting the very freedom and liberties they intended citizens to enjoy and protect, the NSLF believes enough is enough.

Join more than 20,000 freedom-loving Americans on Facebook who are striking back against nanny state bureaucrats intent on controlling every aspect of citizens’ lives from the cradle to the grave.

  1. What about work? I mean, you’re against anyone telling you what you should want, when you should want to do it. What about having to go to work? Are you against that too? Or are you 14?

    • The 13th amendment to the Constitution abolished involuntary servitude–slavery. It’s not coercion if I pay you a wage to do a thing, and you can turn down the money because you don’t want to, or approve of, the task. You don’t have to do the job, but if you don’t, I don’t have to pay you.

  2. I think what they mean is that you are free to be self determined so long as you don’t invade the property rights of others. Duh.

  3. Property is just a bundle of rights given by the government. It’s illegal for me to have a bomb factory in my basement (for example). So the question is what property rights do we have? and how far do they go? For example, if I want to drill a pit in my property and put poison in it, and it will poison my neighbor’s water should I be able to?

  4. I believe in Small Government, Less Tax, and a Strong Military! My Social stances include, Pro-life, Pro-Israel, Pro-marriage, and Pro-gun! Subject-wise has hovered around History because much of my political beliefs has been shaped by what I learned in the past! History plays a key role in shaping our future so we can learn from it or repeat our mistakes!

    • “I believe in Small Government, Less Tax, and a Strong Military!”

A “Strong military” is NOT small government policy. As a matter of fact, it would just make the state/government STRONGER and needs BIG taxes to maintain “strong”. Furthermore, a strong STATE OWNED military can easily lead to tyranny (See Nazi Germany, Soviet Union).

And judging by your stances, you seem to be more of a republican than a libertarian. I think you should look at your own mistakes before you make judgment.

  5. Muriel,

With all due respect, me thinks you are abstracting property rights from the context of the whole law and its overlapping checks and balances. For example,no one has the right to use their property to deprive someone of their life without just cause such as self defense etc. The laws against theft assume the existence of private property. Would be nonsense to punish somebody for stealing something that didn’t belong to somebody.

  6. Bomb factory in your basement?… Poison your neighbor..
YOU need the nanny state because you are an idiot.
Those of us are aren’t dead between the ears don’t need nannys.

  9. So, who writes this blog? Any names? Where are you located?
    Thanks
    George

  10. Please do tell.

  11. Oh nooooo … no real names to be found.
This is just another site for republicans to play boo-hoo victims and bitch and complain about everything anonymously.
Heck, don’t you realize that anonymously bitching and complaining on the internet from your comfy couch is sooooo much more effective than actually going out and doing something ?
