School District Forces Kindergartners to Embrace Homosexuality

Children as young as five years old are being forced by one Calif. school district to watch propaganda movies touting the virtues of homosexuality. Vallejo Unified School District officials say the so-called “anti-bullying” curriculum is mandatory for grades K-5 and parents can not opt-out their impressionable youngsters.

“We do not feel that this is an area that students can opt-out and we feel that this is an area that we do not have to give prior notification,” Superintendent Floyd Gonella told KNTV-11 after a recent school board hearing.

Young students whose parents might not have breached the topic of homosexuality on the home front will find themselves forcefully subjected to three movies “portraying toleration behavior” towards their homosexual schoolmates. “Despite parents’ resistance, officials say the viewings are non-negotiable and court-ordered,” reports Afro.com, an online news publication serving black Americans.

The events leading up to the school district imposing its mandatory anti-bullying, pro-homosexuality curriculum on young students occurred in 2009 when a lesbian Vallejo student and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the district for discrimination and won. As a result, the district was ordered by the court to incorporate “anti-gay harassment and discrimination training into the school system’s curriculum resulting in the films.”

How do you feel about parents being denied the right to determine when and where their impressionable young children are introduced to homosexuality? Should these school officials express tolerance towards parents whose moral, religious and ethical beliefs conflict with homosexuality and the agenda of its proponents?

Taxpayer Dollars Blown at Gay Bar

Condoms and lube are going on the taxpayers' tab at one Arkansas gay bar.

Condoms and lube are going on the taxpayers' tab at one Arkansas gay bar.

Unlike the title of this post, you just can’t make this stuff up. According to the Tolbert Report, a conservative political blog focusing on issues affecting Arkansas citizens, a non-profit homosexual advocacy group operating out of a gay bar was granted $50,000 by state legislators to provide free condoms and lubrication to “the Black SGL (Same Gender Loving) population in Arkansas:”

The Tolbert Report obtained a copy of the grant application late Friday which reveals startling details. A non-profit organization called “Brotha’s and Sistah’s Inc.” (B&S) applied for and received a $50,000 grant as part of an overall $340,419 in grant awarded by the AMHC for HIV/AIDS prevention. The targeted population listed in the application is “Arkansas’ Black LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Community’s MSM (Men having Sex with Men).”

The B&S grant funded the organization’s operation inside a gay nightclub called Club Good Times on 3910 Asher Avenue in Little Rock that according to the application “caters to the Black SGL (Same Gender Loving) population in Arkansas.” In fact, B&S lists their address as the same address as Club Good Times on their application. The funding was requested mainly for the salaries of three individuals, for the distribution of materials inside the club such as condoms and lubricants, and for renting space from Club Good Times.

You can read the full 19-page grant application here and here and evaluate it yourself but this was the subject of the audit presented the committee.

State’s Bureaucrats Pushing Cub Scouts to Extinction

Are Cub Scout recruitment efforts being hampered by school officials with an axe to grind against the organization's moral beliefs and policies?

Are Cub Scout recruitment efforts being hampered by school officials with an axe to grind against the organization's moral beliefs and policies?

A Cub Scout pack in Virginia is on the brink of extinction, thanks to bureaucrats who are prohibiting the young boys from recruiting new members. “If we don’t get new recruits, we will run out of kids,” said Tammy Hancock, committee chair for Cub Scout Pack 7 in Smithfield, Va.

“In 2007, Isle of Wight School administrators banned outside flyers and materials from being sent home with students and banned recruiting events at the schools as well,” reports the Smithfield Times. “The ban, based on a Virginia School Board Association recommendation, was voluntary and many other school districts in the Colonial Virginia Council still allow the Scouts access to students.” And, many other schools do not.

Cub Scout Pack 7 is hoping their recruiting nights at the local library will generate the numbers needed to continue helping young boys “achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.”

An August 2005 policy document produced by the Virginia School Board Association (VSBA) cautions school administrators against helping organizations distribute literature, especially if they have a perceived or real religious-themed message:

Once school officials have opened the door and allowed outside groups to distribute materials, the control of content or restrictions over who is extended that access becomes a delicate constitutional issue. Where school officials attempt to limit access or manage the content of materials, they may find themselves caught in the tension between the Establishment Clause and the free speech rights of students, staff, and community. The Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution prohibits government endorsement or sponsorship of religion and it requires that government not aid or show preference for religion, whether religion over non-religion, or one religion over another.

The VSBA policy adds:

Do schools have to distribute materials from the Boy Scouts?

The No Child Left Behind Act requires schools with a designated open forum or limited public forum, and which receive federal education funds, to provide the Boy Scouts and “other designated patriotic youth organizations” such as Little League, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Girl Scouts, the same access to school facilities as is provided to other outside community and youth groups. Access includes access to school-related communication tools (i.e. materials distribution and bulletin boards).

In October of 2004, the Department of Education proposed regulations to the Boys Scouts of America Equal Access Act.

Under the proposed regulations, schools “may not deny equal aces [sic] or a fair opportunity to meet to, or discriminate against, any group oficialy [sic] afiliated [sic] with the Boy Scouts of America or any other [patriotic youth organization] … that wishes to conduct a meeting within the covered entity’s designated open forum or limited public forum.”

Neither NCLB nor the proposed regulation requires schools with a closed forum to open the forum. Nor do they require a district with an open or limited public forum to distribute or post Boy Scout materials if they don’t do so for any other groups. Schools simply must treat these patriotic youth groups in the same manner they treat other outside community groups.

The Boy Scouts of America have been the target of attacks by homosexual advocacy groups and their allies since the organization officially began denying membership to avowed homosexuals, as both leaders and Scouts.

Could it be that schools with ‘gay-friendly’ administrators are voicing their disapproval of the Boy Scouts’ policy by ‘voluntarily’ opting to prohibit them from recruiting on school grounds?

Taxpayer-Funded University Researches Women’s Sex Toy Habits

Believe it or not, Dr. Debby is the faculty member running the sex toy study at IUB.

Believe it or not, Dr. Debby is the faculty member running the sex toy study at IUB.

Researchers at Indiana University’s Bloomington (IUB) campus are soliciting participants for a ‘medical’ study with an unorthodox incentive — coupons for sex toys. “The purpose of this study is to explore the sexual behaviors of women across the globe and the extent to which they purchase, own, and use (or do not purchase, do not own, or do not use) sexual toys,” the Women’s Global Sex Study webpage states.

Upon successful completion of a comprehensive survey exploring female participants’ sexual practices and fetishes, they will be rewarded with a coupon for 20%-off merchandise at Chicago’s Early to Bed “sex-positive, women-oriented” adult novelty store. (NSFW)

“By participating in this study, you will be helping to provide information will be used to develop a better understanding of attitudes and behaviors related to sexuality and sexual products,” IUB researchers inform potential participants. “This information will be particularly useful to sexuality educators and other professionals who design products and other materials that help women to live healthy and satisfactory sexual lives.”

Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie told Governor Mitch Daniels (R) in the most recently available financial report [2008-2009] that continued state funding is critical to ensuring the “best return” on investments made towards ongoing research projects and other educational pursuits:

Indiana University continues to regard the funding it receives as a public trust. We are deeply grateful for the support we receive from state appropriations, donor contributions, grants or contracts, and student fees, and are committed to achieving the best return on all of those investments. We also remain dedicated to fulfilling all of IU’s core missions of education and research and to our engagement in the successful future of the state.

Ask Gov. Daniels and IU President McRobbie how they envision researching the sexual habits and fetishes of women at taxpayers’ expense will contribute to ensuring the “successful future of the state.” Right now, Indiana is facing a deficit that could top $1 billion in the next budget year!

San Francisco Sheriff Treats Inmates to Free Condoms

From Sheriff Michael Hennessey, with love.

From Sheriff Michael Hennessey, with love.

Inmates in one San Francisco prison don’t need to worry about being forcefully raped anymore, or so say city bureaucrats who think that installing free condom machines will help make for a safer environment behind bars.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Sheriff’s Department installed 16 condom machines in the San Bruno prison facility, despite the fact that having sex in jail is illegal under California Penal Code § 286(e). Thanks to Sheriff Michael Hennessey, the jail’s 750 prisoners can start having protected illegal sex with or without each other’s permission.

Kate Monico Klein, director of the Public Health Department’s ‘condoms for inmates’ program, told the Chronicle that consensual sex and forced rape already happen, so the city’s just trying to make for safer experiences. “If (providing condoms) saves one or two lives, it’s worth it,” she said.

And, guess who will be footing the bill for criminals to engage in homosexual activities behind bars? You got it — the city’s taxpayers! Talk about taking it up the wazoo against your will.

That’s not all, folks! The condom machine program in San Bruno prison is the brainchild of the National Institutes of Medical Health (NIMH), “part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a component of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”

In 2008, the NIMH funded the “The Novel Condom Access project” to investigate how the San Francisco County Jail could best protect inmates against the threat of sexually transmitted diseases while incarcerated. Two years later, those recommendations have been taken to the bank by Sheriff Hennessey and 16 condom machines now line the halls of San Bruno prison.

Contact Sheriff Hennessey if you think he’s abusing his job and the California state law expressly prohibiting sexual relations between inmates by encouraging just that with free condoms.

Public University Preaches Diversity, Punishes Free Thought

The thought police A graduate student at Augusta State University (ASU) in Georgia is facing expulsion for failing to embrace a lifestyle that conflicts with her own beliefs and choices. The only way Jen Keeton, a devout Christian, can continue working towards her graduate degree in counseling is by proving beyond a doubt to school officials that she has a new found appreciation and respect for homosexuality.

Contrary to the mistreatment Keeton has experienced for expressing her diverse viewpoint and beliefs on a sensitive issue in the classroom, the publicly-funded ASU’s Mission Statement proudly proclaims, “The mission obligates the university to be open to the voices of all its members, to be responsive to the needs of its community, and to measure its success by the success of its students.”

Keeton discovered ASU’s hypocrisy when she countered a professor’s claim that homosexuality is a “state of being” versus a “behavioral choice,” and was subsequently informed that she must renounce her faith and its ‘discriminatory’ teachings or face expulsion. School officials proposed a “remediation” program for Keeton as a ‘solution’ to her perceived ‘problem’ that would allow for reinstatement upon successful completion.

ASU officials told Keeton to take a 'field trip' to a gay pride parade so she could "develop" her knowledge of homosexuality.

ASU officials told Keeton to take a 'field trip' to a gay pride parade so she could "develop" her knowledge of homosexuality.

“The remediation program was to include ‘sensitivity training’ on homosexual issues, additional outside study on literature promoting homosexuality and the plan that she attend a ‘gay pride parade‘ and report on it,” WorldNetDaily.com (WND) revealed. Contrary to school officials’ and advocates’ claims that homosexuality is not a choice; it is a natural sexual orientation, school officials tried to immerse Keeton in homosexual-themed issues and events so she would choose to embrace it versus reject it. Ironic, huh?

Attorneys working with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) recently filed a lawsuit asserting the state-operated college cannot violate the Constitution by demanding that a person’s beliefs be changed, reports WND.

“ASU faculty have promised to expel Miss Keeton from the graduate Counselor Education program, not because of poor academic showing or demonstrated deficiencies in clinical performance,” the ADF explained, “but simply because she has communicated both inside and outside the classroom that she holds to Christian ethical convictions on matters of human sexuality and gender identity.”

ASU spokeswoman Kathy Schose told WND that Keeton’s faith and ‘controversial’ beliefs about homosexuality clash with the American Counseling Association’s (ACA) “Code of Ethics” that “opposes portrayals of lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals as mentally ill due to their sexual orientation.”

Schose said students in the school’s counseling program are required to adopt the ACA’s provisions with regards to counseling and treating potential future homosexual clients. The ADF lawsuit, however, “specifically charges the faculty members targeted Keeton’s biblically based belief system and values, not her behavior regarding the treatment of any clients, which had not yet happened,” WND notes.

Keeton issued her own response to university officials’ to explain her understanding of the situation and how it is irrelevant to the pursuit of her degree and future career as a mental health counselor.

At times you said that I must alter my beliefs because they are unethical. … other times you said that I can keep my beliefs so long as they are only personal and I don’t believe that anyone else should believe like me. But that is just another way of saying that I must alter my beliefs, because my beliefs are about absolute truth. ….. in order to finish the counseling program you are requiring me to alter my objective beliefs and also to commit now that if I ever may have a client who wants me to affirm their decision to have an abortion or engage in gay, lesbian, or transgender behavior, I will do that. I can’t alter my biblical beliefs, and I will not affirm the morality of those behaviors in a counseling situation.”

“[Keeton] shouldn’t be threatened with expulsion for being a Christian and refusing to publicly renounce her faith, but that’s exactly what’s happening here,” ADF Senior Counsel David French told WND. “Simply put, the university is imposing thought reform. Abandoning one’s own religious beliefs should not be a precondition at a public university for obtaining a degree. This type of leftist zero-tolerance policy is in place at far too many universities, and it must stop. Jennifer’s only crime was to have the beliefs that she does.”

The good news for Christian students seeking careers in the mental health profession where their morals and beliefs are appreciated, not scorned and punished, is that there are numerous faith-based counseling services across the nation that incorporate Biblical teachings in their “clinically-sound” approaches to helping Christian clients overcome personal challenges and live more productive lives.

Sex Talk “Critical” to School Kids’ Educational Development

Thanks to Jedediah Bila at Human Events for shining the spotlight on a critical issue that never would have seen the light of day in the State-Run Media!

Talk about needing some "sexual healing!" Don't let the nanny state corrupt another innocent mind!

Talk about needing some "sexual healing!" Don't let the nanny state corrupt another innocent mind!

Helena Public Schools in Montana recently released a 62-page draft proposal titled “Helena Public Schools Health Enhancement K-12 Critical Competencies,” which they claim “represent content that students are expected to know at each grade level. The Critical Competencies are not the entire curriculum, but learner outcomes should be taught in [sic] sequential, systematic approach to promote an appropriate foundation to health & wellness.”Some of the many topics included in the proposal are Human Sexuality, Reproductive System, and Sexually Transmitted Infections. Here are some highlights:

• Kindergarten: “Introduce basic reproductive body parts (penis, vagina, breast, nipples, testicles, scrotum, uterus).

• Grade 1: “Understand human beings can love people of the same gender & people of another gender.”

• Grade 5: “Understand barrier methods of contraception (e.g. male and female condoms, dental dams can greatly reduce but not prevent STIs)”

• Grade 5: “Understand sexual orientation refers to a person’s physical and/or romantic attraction to an individual of the same and/or different gender, and is one part of one’s personality.”

• Grade 6: “Understand that sexual intercourse includes but is not limited to vaginal, oral, or anal penetration; using the penis, fingers, tongue or objects.”

• Grade 7: “Discuss the Supreme Court decision that has ruled that, to a certain extent, people have the right to make personal decisions concerning sexuality & reproductive health matters, such as abortion, sterilization, and contraception.”

• Grades 9-12: “Understand erotic images in art reflect society’s views about sexuality & help people understand sexuality”

Be sure to thank Jedediah Bila for bringing this issue to the attention of parents and concerned citizens who have been targeted, once again, by big government bureaucrats trying to push their sick and twisted agenda on innocent children. And, please let her know the Nanny State Liberation Front appreciate her efforts, too!

If we allow this nanny state atrocity to happen in one public school, it can happen at any public school. Don’t let another innocent and impressionable child fall victim to sick and twisted bureaucrats who think they are more capable of raising children and preparing them for the future than their own parents. Join the Nanny State Liberation Front today!
