Obama Allocates $36M to Help Foreign Workers Keep Americans Unemployed

The currency of "change" has no value to American workers, but is a hot commodity in South Asia.

The currency of "change" has no value to American workers, but is a hot commodity in South Asia.

Remember when Obama told ‘Joe the Plumber’ about the virtues of ‘spreading the wealth’ among American citizens? Well, here he goes again, promoting a scheme to pump taxpayer money in to South Asia so foreign high-tech workers can keep America’s best and brightest filing for unemployment ‘benefits.’

InformationWeek is reporting that “a federal agency run by a hand-picked Obama appointee has launched a $36 million program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia.”

This news comes in wake of President Obama’s recent speech in Atlanta, Ga. where he told a friendly crowd of Democratic National Committee faithful, “[W]hen I took office, because of the help of some of the people in this room, we put forward a new economic plan — a plan that rewards hard work instead of greed; a plan that rewards responsibility instead of recklessness; a plan that’s focused on making our middle class more secure and our country more competitive in the long run — so that the jobs and industries of the future aren’t all going to China and India, but are being created right here in the United States of America.”

It looks like the President has some explaining to do, especially to unemployed American high-tech workers who should receive priority assistance over foreign workers in South Asia. Allocating $36 million to help non-American citizens hone their programming and English language skills will only serve to further cripple domestic high-tech companies already struggling to compete against cheap foreign labor, resulting in more lay-offs of vulnerable American workers.

In typical Obama fashion, he is shifting any potential for blame to President George W. Bush since his predecessor was responsible for “creating tax loopholes that made it easier for U.S. companies to place work offshore in low-cost countries” in the first place, InformationWeek reports. Obama is just expanding on the precedent set by Bush and using it as his excuse to help spread America’s wealth among the rest of the world.

The late Saul Alinsky must be smiling from his perch in the afterlife at his apprentice who is ensuring every American is dependent upon big government from the cradle to the grave.
